NFP Novena

We turn to the saints in heaven, the Church triumphant for inspiration and intercession

Here are the nine days of our NFP Novena. Please pray for God’s blessings on all married and engaged couples, for our NFP apostolate and yours, and for unity in our initiatives.

The Christian faith and existence has at its very core tensions and seeming contradictions. Our God is one God in three persons; to die to self is to gain eternal life; Jesus is fully man and fully God; he was born, fully man… of a virgin. Our life has these almost inconceivable tensions,  men and women are very different…but complementary, God who is perfect, immortal and all powerful uses persons, who are imperfect, mortal and weak to populate heaven. Our lives have meaning, dignity and worth from conception to natural death, yet they are full of conflict, misunderstanding, sickness and failures. If we try to rationalize these tensions away we fail,  and political, social, or religious systems that have tried to irradicate them inevitably lead to divisive and deadly consequences. So our life is a mystery which must be embraced and celebrated as mystery and given over to God …so that the hidden seeds and paths of glory can be realized when we let God,  who desires our eternal joy, direct our jouney.
